When I was younger I was a huge fan of the Warrior cats book series. There are a lot of suspenseful and touching moments, even though they're meant for kids to read, so I still enjoy them today.
This scene is from Bluestar's Prophecy, a spinoff of the main series telling the background of one of the leaders. Here she receives her 7th life from her daughter Mosskit, who froze to death in a blizzard and is now a spirit. She ironically gives Bluestar the gift of trust, as she followed her mother into the blizzard under the promise she would be kept safe.
